Seven people were killed and another was hospitalized in critical condition after a deadly head-on crash near New Braunfels on Sunday evening, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Authorities said they responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash just after 6 p.m. on RM 2722, north of Buffalo Spring Road in Comal County. According to the DPS, the driver of a Ford F-150 was traveling west when, for an unknown reason, they veered into the eastbound bound lane, hitting a Chrysler Aspen.
Officials said two men in the Ford and three adults, one of whom was the driver, and two juveniles in the Chrysler were all pronounced dead on the scene.
Police have not identified the deceased.
A juvenile passenger who was in the Chrysler was taken to University Hospital in critical condition.
