A 5-year-old girl suffered life-threatening injuries after she was hit by an SUV Tuesday morning.

Alyson Moreno was taken to Scott & White Memorial Hospital with injuries to her head, face and upper and lower body, Temple police said.  Moreno was with a group of children crossing East Adams Avenue at North 20th Street at 7 a.m. to get to a bus stop, police said.

Moreno, a student at Garcia Elementary School, was struck by a SUV driven by Veronica Magana, 26, of Rogers, police said.  No other children were hurt in the crash.  No charges were file investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
